What size apartments are available at Independence Place Apartments at Fort Bliss?
Independence Place offers 1 bedroom/1 bathroom, 2 bedroom/2 bathroom and 4 bedroom/4 bathroom apartments.
What are the terms of the lease agreement at Independence Place Apartments at Fort Bliss?
We are offering 1 to 12 month leases. 1-3 month leases may incur an additional up-charge. Contact leasing for the most current terms.
What are individual leases?
Individual leases are contracts between Independence Place Apartments at Fort Benning and the individual renter for each room. The benefits of Individual leases include protecting the individual from any rent owed by another resident should they move out.
How much are the apartments?
All leases are based on a total contract amount which is payable in equal monthly installments. The first installment is due on move-in day, and all subsequent installments are due on the first of the month beginning the month after you move-in. We welcome pre-payments if you choose to pay for more than one month at a time. The rates per person for each size apartment are as follows:

What Utilities are included in the rent and how are overages billed back?
Cable with HBO, high-speed Internet, electricity (with monthly cap), water/sewer, and garbage are all included in your monthly installment. Electricity has a usage cap per bedroom of $35. If an apartment exceeds the monthly cap for electricity usage, all residents in the apartment will be billed equally for the overage.
What is included in the installment payments?
All Independence Place apartments come fully furnished in the common areas and bedrooms. There are full size washers and dryers in each apartment, individual lockable storage lockers and the kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal and microwave. Cable with HBO, high-speed Internet, electricity (with monthly cap), water/sewer, and garbage are all included in your monthly installment.
What furniture is included in the apartment?
Each bedroom is furnished with a standard full-size bed, extra storage underneath bed, a dresser, desk, and chair. The living rooms have a micro suede sectional couch, coffee table, an entertainment console, and bar stools for the dining counter.
What happens if I don’t like my fellow resident/roommate?
Our management team encourages you to communicate openly with your fellow residents in an attempt to resolve any conflicts that may arise from sharing an apartment together. There is a Resident/Roommate’s Bill of Rights that is agreed to upon signing your lease contract that will help you address common resident/roommate issues, such as guest visitation, apartment décor, sleeping schedules, etc. If you and your fellow residents are unable to reach a mutual agreement or there is a violation of the lease occurring within your apartment, please feel free to contact our management team. We will do our best to assist you with resident mediation. As a last resort, residents can transfer to another unit, upon availability, for a $200 transfer fee. |
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately at this time Independence Place Apartments does not allow pets.
How do you match residents/roommates?
When completing your lease online, you will complete an extensive resident description form on yourself and on what you desire in a fellow resident/roommate. Our program will then filter the information provided and send you a list of high, medium, and low matches based on how similar your forms are. You can also do a specialized search to pick those fellow residents that meet your particular requests (non-smoker, etc.) You are welcome to make contact with those people by sending a blind email through the system. If you choose, you may disclose personal contact information to learn more about the other resident. Management will not disclose personal contact information.
Can I rent with someone I already know?
Yes. If you already have someone to share a unit with, you may live with them. If you opt to live in our larger units, both you and you fellow resident would proceed through the resident/roommate matching process to select additional fellow residents.
When will we receive room assignments?
Our reservation process is all online, in real time. When you have completed the application and reservation process, you will know your exact bed rented and fellow residents in that apartment at that time instantaneously.
What amenities are available at Independence Place Apartments at Fort Benning?
Independence Place Apartments at Fort Benning offer the following amenities: Clubhouse, resort style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, Game room with Foosball and Pool Table, Basketball and Volleyball court, Picnic/Grilling area, Tanning Beds, Cyber Café, over looks a small lake, trails, fire pits and a secure gated community.
Can I pay my rent online?
You can pay through www.RentPayment.com, and there is a $17.95 fee each time you pay online. This is also the only way that we accept credit cards for monthly rent payment at this time.
